Pool Products – Floats

10 December 2010

Well the old lilo has certainly come a long way over the past few years. New foam technology means you can float around the pool without fear of suddenly finding yourself sinking.  The Aquaria pool floats – available exclusively from Swimart – are made using Aqua Cell technology, which means they’re permanently buoyant.

Smart floating

Summer wouldn’t really be summer without floating around your backyard pool on the old inflatable lilo. It’s an Aussie tradition ... including the bit where the lilo springs a leak. Not fun when you have a book in one hand and a drink in the other.

“Our exclusive technology ensures comfort and fashion with seamless, long-lasting construction and a choice of stylish upscale colours,” says Jeffrey Lawson, marketing manager of Spongex, the creators of the Aquaria range.

The Aquaria floats have the added advantage of being UV resistant, latex free and unaffected by chlorinated water and pool chemicals. Nor will they flake, peel or crack under normal use.

“The Aqua Cell foam is also designed to contour and support the body,” says Jeffrey. “It’s soft and durable and the unique design offers simultaneous relaxation and support.”

Swimart has two floats – the Laguna Pool Float and the Santa Rosa Sport Float – both of which feature an ergonomic pillow for maximum comfort. And the Sport Float is designed to allow more of your body to be under water than with traditional pool floats, so you can float and soak at the same time.

If sitting in the pool is more your style, then Aquaria has a couple of other products which would suit.

The South Beach Sling Chair allows comfortable floating in a seated position.  The mesh seat offers superior support for comfort and relaxation and the two beverage holders allow you to store essentials.

The newly redesigned Maui Swing Seat has many fun and functional uses in the water and out. Float effortlessly for water sports or relaxation, clean swimming pool liners or tiles with ease, use as a kneeling pad for pool deck cleaning and gardening or place on lawn chairs or on the side of the pool for comfortable, cushioned support.

Maintaining the tradition of floating around your pool in comfort and style just took on a whole new meaning.
